Design
The body has been redesigned to more curved and aerodynamic. Although the drag coefficient remains the same, the support has been improved significantly. Much Ferrari heritage is found in the car: the rear, the taillights of the Enzo and interior chimneys were added. The name of the car was burned in the driver's side mirror Testa Rossa style. The oval holes in the front bumper are reminiscent of Ferrari racing models from the 60s, especially the 156 "Sharknose" Formula One car and 250 TR61 Le Mans cars of Phil Hill.
Engine
The F430 has a 4.3L V8 gasoline from a shared Ferrari / Maserati design. The new power plant is an important starting point for the F430 line: The engines of all previous V8 Ferraris were descendants of the Dino racing program of the 1950s. This cycle of fifty years of development ended with the 4.3L entirely new architecture, the Dino-derived V12 replaced in most other cars will be Ferrari. Output specifications of the engine is 490 hp (360 kW, 483 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 465 Nm ft (£ 343) · min torque at 5250 rpm. The F430 has a top speed of 196 miles an hour (315 kph).
Brakes
The brakes on the F430 was developed in close collaboration with Brembo. The result was a new alloy for the discs. The new alloy includes molybdenum which has better heat dissipation performance. offers another option Ferrari carbon fiber reinforced silicon carbide (C / SiC) composite ceramic discs. Ceramics have much higher resistance to heat and fading as metals, the F430 offers the brakes not only a good performance, but also a longer life. Ferrari says that the brakes do not fade even after 300-360 laps at their test track.
Features
The F430 includes the E-Diff, a locking differential with a computer-controlled active differential type, which can vary the torque distribution on inputs such as steering angle and lateral acceleration a world first.
Other notable features include the first application of Ferrari button control manettino driving. Drivers can choose from five different settings to change the vehicle's ESP system, "Skyhook" electronic suspension, transmission behavior, throttle response and E-Diff. The function is similar to the reaction of the Land Rover Terrain "system.
